Engineer

Our customer is seeking an experienced Engineer with in-depth and hands-on understanding of the Linux kernel.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance and optimize the Linux kernel for company's proprietary processor
• Enhance and optimize Linux kernel for company architecture
• Analyze and implement tradeoffs between the processor architecture, hypervisor, and the Linux kernel
• Troubleshoot crashes and other bugs
• Work closely with processor architects to evaluate new processor features
• Work closely with tools and application developers

Qualifications:

Mandatory experience:

• Knowledge of Linux kernel internals
• Knowledge of memory management, SMP, and cache coherence issues
• Knowledge of virtualization or paravirtualization
• Understanding of processor architectures
• Ability to identify and fix performance issues
• Proficient in programming in assembly and C
