DevOps Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a DevOps Engineer for our client in Pennington, NJ OR Charlotte, NC OR Richardson, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for matching current technology with the needs of a company. As part of this task, the Devops engineer engages in designing build process and automation, deployment automation, release orchestrations and management, refresh the current CICD pipeline and its infrastructure. This person should have a minimum of 5 yrs. experience and understand the DevOps tool chain relationship and CI/CD pipeline infrastructure. Responsibilities include providing problem determination and resolution, Identify alternatives for optimizing computer resources, Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions. . Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade CICD tools and its infrastructure. Write and maintain system documentation.

Required Skills:

  • The DevOps engineer is responsible to automate the Build and Deployment/setup, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment of applications onto different environments like Dev, QA, UAT and Production and should be comfortable documenting Systems design, configuration, create runbooks and to provide better and consistent support throughout SDLC. This position must have experience in automating build and deployment process and integrating Jenkins with SonarQube, Artifactory, Atlassian Suite, XL Release and Ansible for implementing CI-CD..
  • Experience in designing end to end automation of infrastructure and continuous delivery of the Applications.
  • Provides standards and guidelines for Jenkins, Ansible and Artifactory for implementing build and deployment.
  • Experience in writing Ansible playbooks to install and configure Jenkins, ELK stack, Artifactory and Atlassian Suite.
  • Expertise in Release Engineering, Configuration Management and DevOps principles.
  • Familiar with integrating JUnit, Selenium, SonarQube and other code quality tests as a part of the build process.

Desired Skills:

  • Hands on experience with F5 devices like Global Traffic Manager and Local Traffic Manager.
  • Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
  • Experience in middleware technologies (Websphere/JBOSS/Tomcat) and working in Agile Model are preferred.
