DevOps Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a DevOps Engineer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Responsible for supporting feature teams with Code management & code quality functions:
• Code management:
• Branching by Release
• Configure CI-CD pipelines
• Configure and manage Sonar dashboard
• Configure and manage Code quality tools
• Merge/Retrofits
• And, responsible for supporting feature teams and other consumers with environmental support function
• Environment Retrofits
• Triages
• Deployment co-ordination
• Quality checks

Required Skills:

• DevOps & Engineering mindset
• Understanding the CI/CD, DevOps and Infrastructure Delivery process
• Solid experience configuring CI and CD pipelines
• Solid experience using tools like BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible, JFactory, XLR, Sonar, Code Quality tools etc

Desired Skills:

• Core Java/J2EE/Spring/Microservices
• Good technical understanding of the software delivery process, while coding is not required a good command of development activities is key to serving stakeholders
• Self-starter, organized, versatile and capable of performing work with minimal management oversight
• Agile knowledge/experience
• Able to work effectively with dispersed teams in multiple time zones
• Ability to work in a highly visible and fast-paced environment where business needs/priorities may change
• Operates with a sense of urgency and ownership
• Solid communication skills
