Database Security Specialist

SkillStorm is seeking a Database Activity Monitoring Specialist for our client in Jersey City, NJ OR Richardson, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• 10 – 12 years of IT experience
• Experience with IBM Guardium Database Activity Monitoring technology
• Hands-on experience with installation/maintenance of the Collectors, Aggregators, Central Managers, GIM Server
• Experience with the setup and configuration of agents on RHEL, Windows, and Mainframe – GIM, S-TAP/K-TAP
• Broad knowledge of database security (e.g. access control, data protection, administrative misuse)
• Experience working in complex technical environment, meeting target timelines, facilitating project deliverables, authoring project documentation, issue identification and resolution
• Demonstrated ability to self-direct project outcomes, with minimal supervision
• Exceptional communication and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to build consensus and cooperation as well as to influence, interact and negotiate with senior leadership in the organization
• Ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organization 3+ years of experience in JavaScript, Python, Bash/Korn shell scripting, WindowsPowerShell
• Experience in automating database performance tasks, running testing framework open source products like – Sysbench, TPC Benchmark, YCSB
• Infrastructure engineering, design and deploy of MySQL database/projects.
• Design and implement indexing strategies for MySQL.
• Advise MySQL Clustering and HA strategies, including replication
• Design, implement and manage the security of MySQL databases.
• Responsible for MySQL backups and restores
