Database Developer / Data Analyst (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Database Developer / Data Analyst for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Data Analytical skills (for data stored in Oracle / SQL Server).
• Job requires interactions with onsite leadership/developer and strong technical background & complex systems
• Coordinate and guide offshore DEV team members
• Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, shell scripting
• Advanced knowledge in different kinds of SQL
• Experience in databases, materialized views, performance tuning
• Advanced knowledge using Data Virtualization tools like
• Starburst/TIBCO/DINODO query engine
• Experience in building end to end virtualization solutions
• Use business requirements to document clear and concise technical design.
• Maintain design and naming standards
• Create and tune view SQL
• Contribute to project planning discussions, provide status updates for development progress and be a critical resource for issue resolution.
   

Primary Skill:

• Oracle SQL / PLSQL

Required Job Skills:

• 7 + years' experience with DB, & ETL Development tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of data management concepts, including database structure, and proficiency with Oracle SQL and other standard database query tools.
• Experience in data analysis, data mapping techniques.
• Work experience with Business Intelligence (data architecture, entity relationship planning, dimensional modeling, ETL, OLAP, analytical reporting) preferred
• Solid background in ETL informatica and database development (Oracle / SQL Server)
• Experience in Trading/Banking technology will be an added plus
• Experience in Compliance/Independent Testing area will be an added plus

Desired Skills:

• Candidate must have Data Analytical skills (for data stored in Oracle / SQL Server). 
• Dimensional data modelers experience
• Job requires interactions with onsite leadership/developer and strong technical background.
• Coordinate and guide offshore DEV team members
