Database Administrator (Closed)

Our customer is seeking a Software Engineer for Data Management.

Overview:

  • Our customer is looking for an energetic, logical, detail-oriented person to add to its Artificial Intelligence Scoring Team
  • Everything they do in AI Scoring requires large amounts of data, both to train and test methods
  • This customer company has a wealth of data, but it is often tucked away in databases or on hand written paper tests
  • They need someone who can take descriptions of the data needed and work with the other software engineers and large staff of trained readers to gather said data into one place

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with the AI Scoring team to understand their various data needs
  • Interface with the rest of Software Products to determine where that data might reside
  • Collect and manage a data repository
  • Work with readers to create new data through transcription or grading of paper tests
  • Interface with Software Products team to create tools that will help facilitate the creation of new data
  • Other administrative tasks related to the AI Scoring department

Qualifications:

  • Love of big data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience organizing and directing workers on various tasks
  • Experience with version control systems (we use Kiln, but experience with CVS, Subversion, etc would be fine)
  • Experience using SQL to gather results from a database
  • Some programming experience would be helpful, but not necessary
