Data Scientist (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Data Scientist for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• This position will be assisting our business data scientist and other team members with the assessment and documentation of several vendor AI models the bank wishes to adopt. The vendor will be demonstrating the functionality to the team, post the AI must be documented by the Vendor in the fashion the bank is expecting. Evaluating and presenting the information to our internal governance team will be required. Coordination of questions between the governance and the vendor will be critical. This requires an in-depth understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language processes and algorithms. Performance metrics, monthly monitoring processes and controls will need to be designed and supported. This position will be a mentor for the team, sharing their knowledge and experiences when the opportunity presents.
• Additionally, this position will assist in the assessment of new AI opportunities when those are submitted. At some time in the future the role could morph into a development of new solutions by the bank.

Below Are Some Assumptions the Position Resource Will Have:

• Earned a degree in IT, computer science, math, or another related field
• Expertise in Python, R or Scala programming language
• Experience in statistical ML techniques such as classification, clustering, regression, bagging techniques, and feature engineering, etc.
• Experience with wrangling, exploring, transforming, and analyzing datasets of varying size and complexity
