Data Modeler / Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Data Modeler / Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Data Modeler will be responsible for producing and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models, and physical data architecture of operational data stores, data warehouses and data marts. Participate in design, development and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements.

Primary Skill:

• MS SQL Server

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 6-8 years experience in data modeling.
• Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modeling, Semantic Modeling and Metadata Management
• Must Have Expertise in relational, dimensional, Graph and Semantic modeling in OLTP and Data Warehousing environments.
• Very strong SQL skills in enterprise data ware house environment
• Ability to present design of the solution to various stakeholders
• Must have Expertise with data management standards and data model practices.
• Work effectively with multifunctional teams and ability to build good working relationships.
• Extensive Experience with Sybase PowerDesigner or Erwin.
• Experience in database development, design, and best practices.
• Ability to prepare mapping documents from source to target system
• Understand ETL tools like Informatica

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience in Financial industry
• Prior Financial industry data models experience (like IFW, Teradata, FpML and FIX ... etc.)
• Understanding of metadata principles and best practices
• Strong analytical skills with a problem solving approach capable of managing multiple priorities
• Knowledge of ORACLE and Semantic Graph Databases
