Cybersecurity Analyst/Systems Admin (Closed)

Description of Work:

  • Become knowledgeable on the CDM technical requirements for SSA’s CDM program. Understand your role in CDM activities.
  • Analyzing, developing, and documenting business processes involving implementation of application control in the form of software allowed-listing and denied-listing
  • Providing technical guidance for the implementation of software allowed-listing and denied-listing tools
  • Providing McAfee systems administration support
  • Provide analysis and technical expertise to incorporate the security exceptions process into the agency’s allowed-listing and denied-listing tool
  • Maintenance, configuration and implementing products, appliances and devices on the SSA’s network
  • Provide support to specific Initiatives (Server, Storage, Network, and Database integration).
  • Coordinate and participate in planning and status meetings. Document proceedings in meeting minutes.
  • Maintain documentation using agency identified technology (i.e. Confluence, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis
  • Maintain the project site as required by the SSA PM (I.e. Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Schedule and facilitate any planning meetings by taking attendance, recording meeting notes and publishing the meeting notes on Confluence within 24 hours of the meeting.
  • Create and maintain reports as required by the Contract.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience, Master's degree and 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 1 year experience with:
    • In-depth knowledge of designing, upgrading, maintaining and implementing enterprise security tools network devices on a large-scale enterprise.
    • Working knowledge of McAfee ePO and other endpoint security products
    • Coordination and communication with other remotely deployed team members
    • Developing documentation with processes and procedures
    • Proposing, implementing automation features in a large enterprise environment
  • A Cybersecurity related certification such as CompTIA Sec+
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.

  • Prior Federal Government/Government/ large scale corporate working experience.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience in building customer relationships.
  • Possess technical writing skills and able to review others work products.
