Cloud Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Cloud Developer for our client in Richardson, TX OR Jersey City, NJ OR Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• We are looking for experienced Cloud Developers to join our Technology Infrastructure team. You will be responsible for developing core components of our global private, public and hybrid cloud solutions. We’re looking for people who are collaborative, technical, and are passionate about cloud technologies, and about using them to solve interesting business problems for customers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform product design activities as required
• Design and implement new software solutions as part of our cloud enablement strategy, as well as maintain and enhance existing software
• Ensure that code adheres to strict standards for accessibility, security, object-oriented practices and performance
• Write and conduct unit and integration tests
• Effectively function and communicate within a software development team consisting of developers, quality assurance, and project management members
• Actively participate in requirements, architecture reviews, and design meetings

Required Skills:

• Experience with Core Java, J2EE, Spring
• Experience with asynchronous systems, multithreading, pub/sub and queuing systems
• Agile development practices and test-driven development
• Experience building microservices (using e.g. Swagger, Spring Boot) and using ReST APIs
• Deep knowledge of web protocols, multiple operating systems, hypervisors and distributed systems architecture
• AWS, Azure and/or Google APIs and environments
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, Salt

Nice To Have:

• Experience with virtualization technologies particularly VMware vSphere and vRealize Automation
• Experience in Linux\UNIX system administration
• Experience with Container technologies ( Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)
• Cloud provider certification (e.g. Azure, AWS Certified Developer)
• Python (and frameworks, e.g. Django)
