Change Design Coordinator (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Change Design Coordinator for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • As a Change Design Coordinator, you will use your knowledge and experience to manage design and project change activities for both Microsoft initiated and BofA initiated design changes. These changes can include user experience, security, compliance, new features, or emergency design change across multiple design teams. This key role that requires a collaborative leader with strong change management experience and the ability to influence successfully in a highly matrixed environment. You will manage complex design changes by leading the planning and execution of change management strategies for Microsoft Office 365 products. You must possess a unique blend of technical and customer facing skills. Be an out of the box thinker and able to directly engage with all stakeholders - security, compliance, data, user experience, business, engineering, governance.

As A Successful Design Change Coordinator, Your Performance Objectives Include:

  • Must process strong project management skills
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and manage a framework for technical design change management using JIRA as well as using standard PROSCI process and templates
  • Customizing change strategies based on the change impact and audience
  • Manage the daily planning activities including maintaining and documenting design change procedures, stakeholder management, technical and business impact assessments
  • Work closely with the PMO Lead to maintain design release and change plans
  • Work with design teams to establish and evolve solid frameworks and standards for change management that increase change adoption through simplification for impacted resources.
  • Identify business readiness to manage scheduling conflicts working with stakeholders and landing SMEs negotiating realistic landing plans and adoption metrics
  • Alert PMO and Change Management Lead of potential high risk/impact
  • Ensure design changes and associate change controls are met
  • Monitor and report status of release efforts and adoption metrics
  • Foster and drive a clear understanding of the various stakeholders for the changes to be deployed to ensure the roles impacted adopt the changes through clear communications, engagement, and appropriate governance throughout the end to end change management process (ADKAR)
  • You will be responsible for interacting with different levels across technology design and implementation teams
  • 5+ years of program/project management/change management experience in IT, operations or business
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 services and capabilities
  • Proven design change management skills and demonstrated experience (desired)
  • Ability to develop a strong understanding of the Microsoft Customer Experience & Success organization and operations at all levels
  • Demonstrate structured thinking, planning, and the ability to execute by working with others, influencing without authority, and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Hands-on experience in driving change in complex matrix environments
  • Strong communication skills to communicate effectively and concisely with stakeholders, senior managers, and senior leadership
  • Strong ability to influence design change

Qualified Candidates Must Have The Following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in a related field.
  • 5-8 years of project management and related experience
  • English speaking/writing
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
