CA Unicenter Engineer (Closed)

Our customer is seeking a Unicenter Engineer.


Responsibilities:

The Unicenter Engineer is the individual who has the primary responsibility to install and maintain Computer Associates Unicenter Products. They must be able to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, the real needs of the project stakeholders, including customers and end users. The Unicenter Engineer is also known as a Process Analyst or Engineer. The Unicenter Engineer serves as the conduit between the customer community and the process development team through which processes flow
  • A Unicenter Engineer is involved at some level throughout the entire system or software development life cycle. Upon establishment of the process baseline, the focus is shifted towards the management of the process specification and verifying the fulfillment of all requirements
  • The Unicenter Engineer works with IT process improvement programs and projects during the all stages to adapt the organizational process to meet program or project needs, including creating new processes where needed. They work with the organization to modify or create processes to meet organizational goals and assist with training. The resulting processes will generally be required to meet Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) requirements at various levels where appropriate and ITIL where appropriate
  • Unicenter Engineer must be skilled at presenting the need for process to customers and staff and able to support proposals for process engineering work. Skilled management of customer and user contact will be critical
  • Qualifications:

    • Unicenter skills, Six years general IT experience and at least 3 years of experience with deploying, configuring and maintaining CA Unicenter Service Plus Service Desk, dashboards and Desktop Server Management
    • Technical skills, Experience as a Systems Engineer/Administrator for a large scale Windows, Solaris and VMS environment. Experience in Microsoft SQL and Oracle
    • B – J2EE, B – Perl Programming, C – XML, C- Documentation for design specifications, C- Data analysis, trouble shooting and problem solving skills, C- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • The responsibilities of the Unicenter Engineer are to adapt the organizationally defined process within tailoring guidelines for specific projects. Have familiarity with the CMMI model. Perform development activities with Spectrum, eHealth and Network System Management so that they are providing value to our customers
    • Have a familiarity with a wide variety of system environments and application types
    • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints
    • Participate in requirements prioritization
    • Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements
    • Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements
    • Specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly
    • Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process. Assist with the development of the organization’s requirements engineering policies, procedures, and tools.
    • Successful Enterprise Management deployment across the Tolls Data Center, and External business that TDC supports
    • Feedback from key customer or project representatives
    • Customer satisfaction measures
    • Satisfying or exceeding requirements development schedules, resource constraints, and quality goals
    • Relevant Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
