Job Description:

• As a Data / technical Analysts in Wholesale Banking Credit Technology will be responsible for typical Data and Business Analyst activities including: - Directly driving the process of translating business data needs into business and technical requirements. - Performing Data Analyst activities (data mapping, data feeds, modeling, and data transformation). - Acting as a liaison between business unit, operations unit and the programming staff. - Appling project management concepts and activities to the daily routine. This Analyst should be able to immediately demonstrate strong analytics skills, strong SQL back ground, and ability to connect the dots across many supply chains in Wholesale Credit space. · Performing metadata, lineage, data quality analysis working with SORs as needed · Profiling data and creating data definition documents as needed · Performing coordination of meetings or coordinating with offshore teams if needed · Profiling data and creating data definition documents, working on business requirements and user stories for data integration initiatives. · Profiling data summarizing existing information in a presentable fashion. · Documenting data gaps in a presentable fashion. · Reporting data gaps in a presentable fashion to articulate to technology architecture teams and business teams. The ideal analyst will have an understanding of banking/financial industry and have a solid understanding of wholesale banking, Credit Risk and financial engineering/ modeling, regulatory reporting either through demonstrated course work or work experience.

Primary Skill:

• Oracle SQL / PLSQL

Secondary Skill:

• Hadoop

Required Skills:

• Data mapping specification designs, Data feed specifications , Data analysis and data comparison
• Ability to connect the dots across various applications and business processes, document data flows and identify gaps
• 5-8 years experience with data Analysis & various databases
• Ability to write and analyze complex queries, stored procedures
• 3+ years experience with big data platform(Hadoop) and tool sets
• SQL,PL/SQL development experience to aid the data analysis
• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong PL/SQL skills
• Strong Excel and Power point usage skills
• Experience working in Agile/ scrum teams
• Work effectively within a fast-paced environment. Adapts quickly to change and prioritizes time effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential, with excellent analytical/problem solving skills

Desired Skills:

• Previous Data Management and Governance, Data Quality or Metadata management experience is a plus.
• Prior experience in data analytics and data integration.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data quality concepts.
• Knowledge of financial data models is optional.
• Experience with SQL; writing queries and analyzing results returned.
• Experience working in financial services industry.
• Accounting, Finance, or IT degree.
• Certification in database usage (any database).
• Previous Client experience, specifically with Commercial / Wholesale credit data systems is a plus.
