Business Analyst (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Business Analyst for our client in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

What You Can Expect:

• Global Collateral Technology supports Collateral Management Operations in Global Markets Operations Technology with a number of applications to manage their day to day collateral business processes across four lines of businesses – OTC Derivatives, Fixed Income, Futures & Options (Exchange Traded Derivatives) and Prime Brokerage. It is currently implementing a multiyear initiative to setup a single strategic platform to support all the four lines of businesses.
• This position will be part of the large initiative to implement this global strategic platform. We will be leading the development of architectural changes to the platform as well as seeking opportunities to innovate on technologies.

What You Will Do:

• Define requirements that will extend our systems to meet the demands of our stakeholders.
• Work with technology and business groups in the region and globally to deliver high quality products in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage project deliveries independently.
• Work within a full software development lifecycle.
• Communicate and discuss with Business and Technology on specifications

Required Skills:

• You can collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements.
• You can document business and/or technical requirements into use cases, business process flows, and technical requirements.
• You can translate business requirements into technical requirements working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team.
• You understand the needs of the stakeholders as well as the technology boundaries to help create a solution to solve a problem.
• You can test the application(s) and troubleshoot problems identified during the testing to then work with the technology team to resolve, including documenting the issue.
• You have a strong understanding of agile methodology, with an emphasis on test driven development & continuous integration.
• You have at least 5 years of successfully delivering technical solutions.
• You are a creative and proactive problem solver with the ability to quickly grasp what the team needs and offer suggestions above and beyond what they are asking for.
• You are fluent in data analytics which includes the ability to use tools like SQL, Python scripting and data manipulation in Excel.
• You are proficient with using Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• You are a good team player and collaborative. You will be expected to liaise with both technical and business colleagues locally in the US and at other locations in UK, India, and Singapore. You will work as part of a wider technology team spread across these locations.
• You are a good communicator to teammates, management and business stakeholders.
