SkillStorm is seeking a Big Data Engineer for our client in Charlotte, NC OR Pennington, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Chief Data Office OMNI initiative is looking for a Ansible Tower Automation Engineer who will be responsible for SDLC of the OMNI Big Data Platform. The ideal candidate is someone who has hands-on developer experience in Java, Hadoop, and Python SDLC environments. The candidate will be working with agile teams and responsible for all aspects of SDLC.
• This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This role ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. These individuals possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns.

Required Skills:

• Technical Skills: YAML, JSON, Hadoop, Python, SQL, Ansible Tower, BitBucket, Artifactory, Linux, Windows Server, PowerShell, Scripting,
• Experience in technology industry, specifically with privileged and non-privileged access automation scripting
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems required, or similar experience
• Specific knowledge and proven track record of end-to-end software development
• Experience with automation design patterns and architecture Experience in all aspects of System Development Lifecycle
• Understanding of a large-scale Enterprise-level application management and operations
• Ability to translate business and technical processes into actionable and executable Ansible code
• Hands-on enterprise scale software development experience in Hadoop, Java, Python technical stack.
