BareMetal / Linux Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a BareMetal / Linux Engineer for our client in Richardson, TX. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• Hardware Compute Engineering - BareMetal Engineer is a strong, technical team member with extensive experience in with BareMetal technologies and Redhat Satellite.

Primary Skill:

• Linux

Secondary Skill:

• Python

Required Skills:

• BareMetal experience using Redhat Satellite/Foreman provisioning.
• At least 6 years of experience in python/shell scripting and development
• Ability to self-manage projects with clients and technical peers to tight deadlines
• Ability to work under pressure?.

Desired Skills:

• Solid understanding with python and ansible
• Solid understanding of BareMetal hardware (Dell/HP)
• Good understanding of dhcp/pxe/tftp technologies
• Experience with enterprise tools such as Bladelogic, Discovery and Tanium is a plus
• Working knowledge of Jira a plus
• Knowledge of RESTful web services (REST) is a plus
• Bitbucket / GIT is a plus
• Understanding of code repository/VSC technologies and best practices.
