Backup Engineer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Backup Engineer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

The Backup Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Developing documentation and standard backup and recovery procedures
• Performing regression testing and certification of new backup hardware, software and firmware
• Providing mentorship, training and guidance on backup and recovery related technologies
• Providing L3 subject matter expertise for backup hardware, software, system upgrades, and installations as necessary
• Providing consulting to application teams that require specialized backup processes & integration
• Performing vendor oversight of backup products including feature enhancement requests, bug fixes and security vulnerabilities
• Veritas NetBackup
• Dell Data Domain
• Cohesity Data Platform
• 5-7 years of production experience building, designing and supporting enterprise backup and recovery environments
