Azure Developer (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking an Azure Developer for our client in Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• 18 Months minimum Deep Azure Infrastructure and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) Deployment expertise;
• Experience containerizing Windows and Linux application workloads as build artifacts on AKS
• Configuration, provisioning, and deployment to production environments
• Ability to write scripts in a variety of languages like but not limited to Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ruby
• Support application deployment of workloads into AKS, increase the relevance of the platform by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers- cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome AKS blockers
• Develop Security and Controls guidelines for AKS and Azure Container Registry
• Build automated deployment templates with PowerShell and Azure Resource Manager that customers can easily use to roll out their own instances of AKS.
• Automation template should include default install of the mitigating controls, Azure Monitor, Security scan Integration, and enforceable solution to disable containers running as root.
• Minimize AKS image size, make decisions on how many containers to assign to a given pod
• Automate monitoring/alerting jobs
• Determine if previously run command was successful in a script
• Also deploy solution to monitor for AKS instances older than version N-2

Required Skills:

• Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns, including micro services for deployment in containers
• Implementation of Kubernetes, Kubectl, HELM and Kubernetes eco-system
• Troubleshooting Azure Kubernetes Services configuration issues, performance tuning with autoscaling
• AKS Orchestration ecosystem hands-on experience
• Strong in Java, Experience in design and development of Container based solution Knowledge of AKS setup and configuration
• Knowledge of Kubernetes cluster architecture, Microservice architecture, Identity and Access management for container cluster
• Azure Certification (AZ- 301)
• Provide deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers- cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Container platforms and Cloud Services using Identity, Storage, Compute, Automation, Disaster Recovery
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure (Management groups, Azure policies, AKS, key vault, Application Insights, Application Gateway)
• Be the advocate to translate our business needs and transformational journey into Azure based cloud solutions with the goal to drive long-term customer success
