Automation Tester (Closed)
Description of Work:
- Provide development support to the government client to enable design, development, and implementation of web-based enterprise software solutions following the Agile lifecycle.
- Participate on enterprise projects that require migration strategies using web-based technologies and relational databases across multiple platforms.
- Participate in the full life cycle of an agile project, design and develop user interfaces/applications, and conduct testing.
- Understands the business problem statement, user scenarios, and technical constraints.
- Plan for and conduct implementation activities.
- Participate in planning, retrospectives, demos and daily stand-ups.
- Continuously develops knowledge and skills on pertinent systems.
- Perform thorough unit and functional testing of the code to ensure high quality bug free code.
- Provide weekly and monthly status to the management.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.
- Become knowledgeable on the Disability process, ensure understanding of the systems and application processes to be able to execute that role in an effective manner.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of relevant work experience; Master’s Degree and 5 years of relevant experience; or a minimum of 11 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Core Java principles, and automated testing tools/frameworks such as but not limited to; Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, and Protractor.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing, testing and/or integrating applications in a DevOps/Continuous Integration/Deployment environment using Jenkins including Cloud deployments
- Minimum of 2 year of experience in using Maven, Git, Bitbucket and Jenkins and advanced understanding of DB2, Postgres, and SQL.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience setting up the automation model at an enterprise level for web based applications, mainframe based applications and web services.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in working with VBScript, C Languages, Groovy and PowerShell Scripting
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a self-starter who can work with a large and diverse team of business, management and IT individuals. Must have multitasking ability with excellent organization, analytical, planning and scheduling skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
- Prior SSA or Federal government experience.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and tools.
- Web services testing for REST API, Queues and Automation (Jenkins preferred) using standard frameworks.
- Knowledge of various software testing methods (Regression, Load/Stress, Code Coverage Analysis, Black/White box testing, Acceptance, Performance).
- Experience in automating Desktop based application.
- Experience working with AI test automation tools.
- Experience creating effective test plans and BDD test cases.
- Experience in creating test plans based on end-user scenarios.
- Excellent trouble-shooting and analytical skills.
- Experience in Unit Testing.
- Experience in Security Testing, Accessibility Testing.
- Prior QA automation testing, quality assurance methodologies and processes experience.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.
- Ability to quickly understand government specific architectures, existing and proposed, and provide solutions for technical problems.
