Get paid to train. Then get deployed.

Launching technology careers isn't a side program at SkillStorm; it's the whole business. We develop technical talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. You'll start with 12 weeks of paid, hands-on training, working on real projects alongside a team, and then deploy directly to an enterprise or government client, effective day one. You never pay for training. You're an employee with a salary and a defined path from "qualified" to "deployed professional."

Who this is for

This role is designed for people at the start of their technical careers: recent graduates, career changers who already have a technical foundation, and transitioning service members and veterans. If you have the fundamentals, the drive, and an interest in a structured route into enterprise software work, this was built for you.

How to qualify

Meet both of these:

    • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical field
    • At least 1 year of technical work experience

You'll also need a working grasp of programming fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and software development in an object-oriented language like Java or C#.

Every applicant who meets one of those paths is reviewed individually for fit. Not sure you qualify? Apply anyway. Deciding that is our job, so don't rule yourself out.

What makes a strong candidate

    • Sharp problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
    • Clear communication, both written and verbal, with teammates and stakeholders
    • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
    • Willingness to relocate for a client placement
    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. as a SkillStorm W2 employee (C2C arrangements not accepted)

A note for veterans and transitioning service members

Structured training, a defined mission, clearance-eligible work, and relocation support: this model matches how you already work. We actively want you in this pipeline.

Your work after deployment

    • Develop and improve applications using your client's languages, frameworks, and tools
    • Produce clean, efficient, well-organized code that meets professional standards
    • Troubleshoot and resolve defects, and provide technical support
    • Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving constructive feedback
    • Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications
    • Support testing and production deployments, and keep technical documentation current
    • Stay up to date on industry tools and techniques through continued training

What you get with SkillStorm

    • A competitive salary from day one; this is a paid role, not training you pay for
    • Enterprise-grade technology training and certifications
    • Placement with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies
    • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance, plus a 401(k)

Ongoing mentorship and support through training and placement
