Application Support Analyst (Closed)

Description:

  • Banking and Finance Production Support (BFPS) organization is responsible to provide end to end support for all Banking application within Bank of America. This position is for an individual contributor role in ADS application support team who will be part of the core Wholesale credit application support team within ADS AMRS to support Wholesale Credit ADS application under the Wholesale Credit Banking (WCB) Application Support Services (APS) organization. Applications includes, Global Banking Analytics Zone(GBAZ) AIT#72580, an in-house application which is an eco-system of analytical tools and data infrastructure to rapidly explore, assess and ultimately implement data science, reporting, analytical and operational use cases supporting Global Banking/ Wholesale Credit loan life cycle & WCADS, an in-house , UCAL application and is the Authorized Data Source for WC Domain data, designed to meet regulatory requirements of the Basel Committee on Banking and Supervision for Risk Data Aggregation (BCBS 239), the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX), and managed to align and adhere to Client EDM Policy and Standards and other external and internal compliance directives for the management of data. AIT ID # 54291.
  • The candidate will be work as application support analyst supporting Wholesale credit applications including GBAZ.
  • Resource will be part of AMRS support for Wholesale Credit applications (Hadoop, Oracle & Autosys). Resource will cover the weekend support requirement, Critical month end activities from FD1 to FD5 & become SME for GBAZ, GBREG & WCADS in US

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for Incident management and conducting proper problem follow-up.
  • Proactively monitor and manage the production environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application problems including but not limited to Job failures, feed management, monitoring etc.
  • Improve and or create documentation of support policies and procedures
  • Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by the system.
  • Support application releases, implementations, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment.
  • Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached.
  • To ensure that applications and related services are documented and kept current.
  • Automate and build adhoc scripts as needed to address critical business needs.
  • Maintaining a knowledge base of known defects and issues, process, techniques etc
  • Takes part in production support rotation, and responding and resolving production problems
  • Weekend or after hours work is required to support critical business initiatives such as application deployments (Pre & Post activities), infrastructure changes, Industry-wide tests, or Disaster Recovery tests.
  • Build strong partnership with CIO team, Infrastructure and platform teams

Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in development or production support
  • 5+ years in following: Oracle, Batch job scheduling tool (Autosys, SQL agent etc), Hadoop
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to organize time, work on multiple tasks, and follow tasks and projects through to completion, while keeping all interested parties properly updated.
