Application Support (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking an Application Support Specialist for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina OR Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

  • Provide analytical and technical support for Java/J2EE/Oracle applications. Role requires strong application support background. Ideal candidate will be viewed as a Application subject matter expert. The position requires the ability to communicate complex functional and technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial and vendors. The position requires on-call support in a 24x7 follow the sun model.

Summary:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application problems related Java, J2EE, Oracle, Weblogic
  • Support application releases, implementations, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment.
  • Support o/s patching, disaster recovery and technical infrastructure triage
  • Monitor, manage, and possibly tune platforms for availability and performance.
  • Coordinate with Salesforce, Appian and MuleSoft vendors as needed or issue resolution
  • Infrastructure engineering and operations experience in support and troubleshooting mission-critical business applications
  • Provide timely resolution of user and infrastructure break-fix incidents, automated alerts and information service requests
  • Coordinate disaster recovery exercises in complex shared environment.
  • Functional and technical support analyst responsible for supporting multiple
  • Work activities include Incident Resolution, Problem/Incident Management, Operational Readiness, Application Monitoring, Service Analytics and Reporting, Incident Triage, Associate Support, Change/Configuration Management.
  • Takes ownership of escalations and perform trouble shooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and programming skills
  • Takes part in production support rotation, and responding and resolving production problems
  • May provide coaching and mentoring for other associates
  • Will work under minimal supervision
  • Typically requires 3+ years of nCino (Salesforce), Appian, MuleSoft and infrastructure support experience and 5-7 years of technology experience

Skills:

  • The position requires on-call support in a 24x7 support model
  • 7+ years of experience in development or production support
  • Java, J2EE, Oracle, SQL, Weblogic
  • Experience in resolving both application functional incidents
  • Proactive in identifying, escalating, and addressing platform stability issues and risks
  • Experience in production support and follow the sun support model
  • Experience in coordinating with offshore/onshore teams and delegating work
  • Ability to create well-defined documents
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of varying degrees of technical expertise.
  • Ability to solve production down situations under tight SLA deadlines, including root cause and problem resolution follow-up
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Meeting facilitation and discussion moderation skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
