SkillStorm is seeking a Java Developer for our client in Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

• This Core Java Developer with Spring Boot is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals.
• Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
• This is a hands-on development role which will leverage and utilize many of the latest and cutting-edge technologies. Ideal candidate with have
• extensive API development experience and demonstrated success building APIs for large, complex and interdependent systems.
• APIs will be scalable, reusable, system agnostic and will simplify the offerings for systems.

Responsibilities:

• Build quality, well thought out APIs that are scalable and reusable by multiple calling systems
• Work around various platforms and understand the unique needs for each back end and front end system
• Assist partner teams in adopting and consuming new APIs
• Creating integration patterns for existing service providers (both SOAP & REST) and exposing those services via various API gateways

Required Qualifications:

• To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have the following minimum experience:
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience designing, developing and testing real-world, enterprise applications
• 3+ years of hands-on Java experience, including analysis, design and testing
• 3+ years of experience using Spring framework (all modules), Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Test Framework, Spring RESTful services, Transaction Management, Spring Annotations.
• 3+ years of experience developing and consuming web services using SOAP or REST
• 3+ years of experience using JPA / Hibernate and also developing complex queries using native / HQL
• 3+ years of relational database experience with a solid understanding of SQL and modeling concepts
• Experience using Scrum and following Agile best practices
• Web UI development would be desired. Working experience with UI technologies like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS would be and added advantage
• 3+ Years of working knowledge of Infrastructure for a typical web application (web servers, app servers, Configurations etc….)
• Experience with Mulesoft is also an added advantage
