Application Programmer V (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking an Oracle Developer for our client in Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• Compliance Technology require a senior application programmer with strong experience in Actimize/Oracle based platform who will be responsible for supporting a legacy system and design/develop new enhancements on an existing applications. Candidate should be fully competent to work under general direction on complex projects that have an assigned goal and should be able to proactively work with senior associates and manager as required. Knowledge of Compliance processes or investment banking experience is desirable.
• 5 to 8 years of IT experience
• Responsible for design, development , implementation and maintenance of Actimize/Oracle based technology platform(s) applications in the Global Banking and Markets compliance and surveillance technology.
• Serve as a senior developer for Actimize models using high volume trading and market data for various asset classes like (FX, Fixed Income and Equity)
• Prior work experience in investment banking space is preferred.
• Hands on experience with AIS 4.26 and above, RCM 5.10 and above. Actimize MSE 5.10 and above
• Analyze existing Actimize code base for enhancements, defect fixes, performance tuning
• Hands on development skills in various other technologies and tools like Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL), Unix / Linux scripting, and Autosys scheduler used in data warehousing environment
• Work with end users from business side to understand data requirements, provide analysis of alerts, present high-quality reports to make decisions using data, Microsoft Excel.
• Liaise with business analysts , tech leads to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on technical requirements, design standards and requirements of the system
• Coordinate with architecture, testing and production support teams for development and deployment of newly built Actimize models and enhanced models to address bug fixes.
• Work as part of a globally blended team of resources (both Associates and consultants)
• Participates as an individual contributor on projects, completing activities as a part of a team related to special initiatives and/or operations
