Application Programmer V (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java Developer for our client in Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• Software Developer (Java) required to work on enhancement of existing Java applications within in the Market Risk Suite including technical upgrades and user driven enhancements.
• Based in 101 Hudson, JCY (under usual circumstances), reporting to development team lead and working as part of a global agile team.

Required Technical Skills:

• Intermediate Java developer with 5+ years of experience.
• Very good core Java development skills. Experience in working with web development, Struts, Tomcat, GWT (Google Web Toolkit).
• Intermediate level SQL knowledge with stored procedures and Sybase experience.
• Ability to work with Python, React and GIT a plus.
• Capital Mkts/Financial products/Risk Domain knowledge an advantage
• Experience of working in an Agile (e.g. Scrum) team an advantage.
