Application Programmer V (Closed)

SkillStorm is seeking a Java / Oracle Full-Stack Developer for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm’s W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Job Description:

  • Require an experienced Java/Oracle full-stack developer within the Financial Crimes Technology space to actively participate in developing, enhancing, debugging, supporting, maintenance and testing of software application to support Global Risk partners and supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants.

Skills:

  • Analyze, design, develop, enhance and support applications that integrate with existing business components utilizing established processes, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Expertise on multiple technology skills with demonstrated experience with the Java/Oracle stack, and ability to design, develop and lead onsite/offshore application team members using Agile process.
  • Strong SQL and AutoSys skills, with tangible experience where skill set was applied to software delivery
  • Develop and support existing and new project requirements, including coordinating with business to understand requirements, and analyzing potential impact of implementing change requests.
  • Perform tasks to comprehensively analyze application and process issues, including problem identification, communication and coordination with customer-facing support teams.
  • Regularly communicate work progress with management, identifying issues early and resolving them quickly to avoid or minimize impact to projects.
  • Excellent programming, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn business processes, and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks.
  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise-level applications and processes.
  • Experience providing on-call support for critical systems and applications.
  • Experience with Teradata
