SkillStorm is seeking a Database Developer for our client in New York City, New York. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• Securities Lending is responsible for facilitating short sales for clients including Hedge Funds and Internal Trading Desks. The Desk manages some of the firm's most important relationships and deals with a wide range of asset types: equities (international and domestic) and bonds.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• DB Technology experience on MPP appliances (preferably Oracle Exadata)
• Optimum DB design – indexing, MVs, performance tuning and monitoring
• Data Engineering experience – Python, Informatica, HDFS
• Understanding of Agile Concepts Desired Skills
• Experience with Test Driven Development
• Knowledge of stock loan / equity swaps a plus
• Knowledge of the trade lifecycle (Trading, Middle Office, Settlements) a plus
• Working knowledge of C3 ai environment a plus
