Application Architect V (Middleware Engineer) (Job Code: 1018)
Duties:
Responsible for supporting the architectural design, installation, configuration and maintenance of WebSphere Application server, IBM Http Server, Plugins, Jboss, Apache, and Tomcat for high availability with failover capabilities; analyze business needs and make recommendations on best practices in application development to optimize efficiency; deploy, maintain, and perform tuning of J2EE applications and sizing of WebSphere jvms; ensure safety of applications and user information by mitigating security vulnerabilities and manage certificates for secured communications; resolve application issues by analyzing logs and traces; utilize Python, Java, Webservices, Ansible, Splunk, Dynatrace, Tivoli Performance Viewer, Oracle, WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, Git, Subversion, Unix, Shell Scripting, thread analyzer, log analyzer, Active Directory and F5 to perform duties; enable global security by integrating with Active Directory; and provide scripting and automate daily activities using various programming languages and shells.

Salary: $143,520 per year
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Masters – Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Training: None
Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Middleware Software Engineer, as an Associate Architect, as a Software Engineer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years use of all the following: Python, Java, Webservices, Ansible, Oracle, Git, Unix, Shell Scripting.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
