SkillStorm is seeking an Oracle Developer for our client in Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.

Description:

• The Global Liquidity Management Technology team within GBAMT ERFT- Finance Technology is seeking a developer to join its team. The individual selected for this role should possess strong Oracle and data warehousing skills as well as be well versed in the Agile software development lifecycle methodology. The developer will be a member of an Agile scrum team and will work closely with a product lead and developers and testers. The developer will participate in all relevant Agile ceremonies; some after-hours support in the form of validating deployments and troubleshooting production issues may be required.

  • Oracle PL/SQL Development
  • Oracle Exadata Experience with working with data sets from multiple sources
  • Slowly Changing Dimensions
  • UNIX shell scripting
  • Data Warehousing concepts
  • Star/Snowflake schemas
  • Dimensional tables (Type 1, Type 2)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with the team but also independently recommend and deliver solutions to complex use cases
  • Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy
  • In addition to strong technical proficiency in the current technology, the ideal candidate will be 'naturally curious' with an inclination towards evaluating contemporary tools and technologies in support of continuously improving the platform.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL 5+ years of experience in a large Data Warehouse environment 4+ years of experience in complex data architecture solutions comprising the various phases of planning, design and implementation
• Exposure to Python is preferred.

Strongly Preferred:

• ETL experience with Oracle Exadata Experience working at financial institutions in the global banking and markets domain
