SkillStorm is seeking a UCC Engineer for our client in Jersey City, New Jersey. Candidates must be able to work on SkillStorm's W2; not a C2C position. EOE, including disability/vets.
Job Description:
- As a Unified Communications (UCC) SME, you will have a very good knowledge of UCC solutions prevalent in the market.
- Excellent understanding of Collaboration platforms, Various OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) available solutions across Audio, Video and Web, their integration and regulatory challenges.
- Experience with management best practices and procedures including messaging, network access, identity and access management, public and private Cloud and Web technologies.
- Has advanced technical knowledge of enterprise products and understanding of product set and business knowledge.
- Sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to design and scope multiple deliverables across a number of technologies.
Essential Functions:
- Enterprise Social – UCC Engineer
- Liaison with Global Information Security, Operations, Product, Engineering, Architecture and Vendors to manage product lifecycles, fixes, features and enhancements
- Management of technical input into Book of Work Entries
- Development of low-level designs to meet client requirements and security demands
- Deployment of low-level environments
- Contribution to detailed testing
- Continual ownership for the accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation
- Active participation in review of requirements for technical feasibility
- Represent technical requirements for the deployment of new services
- Participate in regular requirements meetings to groom backlog and agree feature releases
- Ensure all non-Strategic Social and Chat products are decommissioned from the Enterprise.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience of Enterprise Level Engineering within regulated industry [Mandatory]
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) [Desired]
- Experience of:
- Application engineering on open source applications
- Teams (Design, Support, deployment)
- Office 365
- Skype
- SharePoint
Skills:
- Exceptional documentation and problem-solving skills
- Extensive experience in cloud enabled Chat platforms (e.g. Symphony, Teams, Slack)
- Experience with the deployment of applications to Mobility frameworks incl. MAM and MDM.
- Familiarity with Cisco Infrastructure, Cisco Webex and Cisco Teams
- A clear and unambiguous communicator, methodical, disciplined, confident & assertive.
- Production deployment of enterprise solutions
- L3/4 escalation of production support
- Solves technical and complex problems
- Proficient in identifying, mitigating and resolving risk
- Operating systems: Linux/Unix, Windows.
- Languages: Scripting, PowerShell
- Database: Good knowledge of SQL/PLSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Elasticsearch
- Other Tools: /Splunk or any other monitoring tool, Remedy, JIRA, MQ
- 5+ years’ experience of Enterprise Level Engineering within regulated industry [Mandatory]
