Description:

• Client operates worldwide and is required by global regulators to ensure adherence to the numerous rules, regulations and standards that exist. To ensure that we comply fully with these rules, regulations and standards it is vital that our Compliance Department have appropriate applications in place to allow them to monitor our trading activity in the many asset classes that we trade in across the many different jurisdictions. The Compliance Technology group is responsible for delivering solutions that satisfy the many requirements necessary to ensure compliance with these rules. We are a global team with team members based in the America’s, Europe and Asia. All of our projects and initiatives require a combination of innovative technology solutions and a close partnership with the Compliance teams to ensure a full understanding of their requirements.
• Our Trade Surveillances technology team is a key component of our Compliance Technology group and a position now exists within this team for an experienced developer with a strong knowledge of the Nice Actimize product set (as used for Trade Surveillances) to work on key initiatives for our Compliance users in America’s, EMEA, and Asia. This challenging role will provide an excellent opportunity to undertake full life cycle tasks in a fast paced and evolving technology environment. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated, technology professional with at least 5 year’s post qualification experience and a proven ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a global team.

Overview of the Role:

• Our Trade Surveillance technology stack heavily utilizes the Actimize Risk Case Manager and the Actimize Intelligent Server that run on our Data warehouse application built on Informatica, Oracle Exadata, UNIX shell scripts and AutoSys. We require a highly skilled Actimize developer to design, develop and automate surveillances process flows to support the business functions using our full technology stack. The role will require working in an Agile development environment with both technology colleagues and business partners in a dynamic environment.

Successful Candidates Will Have the Following Key Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of development experience in Actimize Risk Case Manager, Actimize Intelligent Server and Actimize Case Manager Designer
• 7+ years of Oracle/PL SQL working on very large data sets.
• 1+ years’ experience of ETL processes and principles including data quality standards and techniques
• 1+ year’ experience of working in an Agile environment and with experience of Jira/Horizon.
• Excellent written and communication skills and ability to clearly indicate data integration solution designs and implementations.
• Working knowledge and fundamental understanding of Financial products such as Equities, Bonds, FX, Futures and Option along with the related reference data and market data.
• Experience of the following would be very useful:
• Experience of UNIX shell scripting.
• Experience of Informatica ETL tools.
• Experience of Autosys.
• Experience of working with larger projects involving multiple groups including near shore and offshore teams
• Experience of working in a Compliance Environment, particularly Trade Surveillances, and experience of products such as SMARTS (Nasdaq).
